Kim Kardashian wants to be taken seriously in everything that she does, including the work that she does for her local government in Glendale, California. While she recently talked about running for governor during an episode of her reality show, many didn't believe in her. But she is doing lots of things with the Glendale City Council that could put her in the running for some big decision making. One of those things was a public service announcement, where Kim discussed the Armenia Genocide of 1915. She publicly showed this announcement during a City Council meeting this past Tuesday.
In the announcement, Kim Kardashian asks people to join with her in commemorating the loss of the innocent lives worldwide, including those from the Genocide. She also says that "those who cannot remember past are condemned to repeat." Perhaps some critics are thinking that she should learn from her own mistakes when it comes to her private life.
So, why is Kim being so political all of a sudden? She wants to spread awareness when it comes to the genocide, but could this be another educated move to get involved in hopes of being mayor one day? "I don't think anyone can bring too much publicity to the Armenian genocide" she continues. It sounds like she is ready to keep spreading the words for years to come.
Perhaps her political materials will read, "vote for Kim Kardashian and keep the Armenian Genocide alive." Do you think she will do good in office one day?
