double dactyl

OK...Veronica and John keep at me...so I will try my hand at a double dactyl:

Mt Pisgah Altar

Diggedy-Doggedy
Sean Patrick Dougherty
climbing to Mt Pisgah
stone altar built

A hidden hideaway
Built in honor of God
Ultramagnificient
Awesome beauty

I don't think all my lines are quite double dactyl like they are suppose to be...but this is my first try at this form...I did notice that both my girls have double dactyl names so I may try one for each of them at some point this month.

OK...Roni said they are suppose to be 4 syllables which, ironically, works better with what I wanted for each of those two lines...

Woo-hoo an excellent go. The 4th lines are only suppose to be 4 syllables and need to rhyme with each other. But I say A for effort.

Yes you can. All the examples I've seen have ended with 4 syllables but there is debate here on gather on the exact rule for the 4th lines.

Just as an example, your last 5 lines could be:

Stone altar site

Hidden rock hideaway
Honoring Deity
Ultramagnificant
Symbol of Might  (or Light)

I'm impressed, Roni. Except for "Trepidation using" which would require emphysis on "tion", your meter is flawless!
