Bethenny Frankel has just released her first fiction novel, Skinnydipping, and many feel that it is an autobiography of her life because of the overwhelming similarities between her real life as discussed in A Place of Yes and her fictional character. Fans who haven't read her book about her life will still be able to identify similarities, as many of the Real Housewives women are in the book as fictional -- yet memorable -- characters. But if Bethenny's novel is a spin on an autobiography written with fictional characters, then one has to wonder about some of the dramatic scenes in the book.
For one, the main character Faith has a dramatic life. In the book, Bethenny's main character does cocaine with a man named Tony. She explained that he portioned out the lines and that Faith snorted one. "That was enough, and I wanted to stay in control," she writes. While Bethenny Frankel has never spoken out about doing drugs, she did have a troubled childhood which could have led her to do drugs in her early years.
Another scary thought is of Bethenny doing soft-core porn as her character Faith. In the book, Bethenny explains that Faith gets caught up in the soft-core porn industry while filming a movie that she thinks is anything, but porn. Since Bethenny has worked in the film industry back in her teenage years, she never admitted to actually working as an actress. Perhaps this movie was her first -- and last -- movie experience.
Have you read the book? Do you think Bethenny is letting her imagination run wild, or is she coming clean about her past adventures?
