In a world where we would rather download an app than pull out a book to find out where to go on holiday it seems only fitting that there be beach app to tell us which are the best sands and why we should holiday there.

After a little net surfing here are the best Beach Apps on the market:

Swim Guide: If you and your family are enjoying a US car hire holiday and fancy a quick cool off in the ocean then this app will tell you the nearest beach and rate it on its safety for swimming plus the overall condition of the beach.

Beach Locater: A very easy app to use, it will pick up on your location and tell you everything you need to know about every beach in that area, plus it has pictures!

Beach Finder: This will only work if you’re travelling through North America. It uses Google maps to take you to your nearest beach so it’s a pretty easy app to use.

Sutro World: Great little tool that is free to download. You out in the beachside town your thinking of visiting and it gives you the full run down of the place with the review coming from real people!
