One of my deleted comments from a Gather post about National Prayer Day was this:
Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, For ever and ever.
Amen.
As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, For ever and ever.
Amen.
You can obliterate all of my words, but you can't obliterate the Word of the Almighty.

I knew this would be deleted too and I hesitated to put it there because I really didn't want to contribute to that audacity, but then I thought that it speaks for itself when someone dares to even try to make people think that they uphold the first amendment and would deny someone's right to have a prayer posted in a public forum. Moreover, if the prayer didn't mean anything then there would have been no reason not to allow it to stay. So I rationalized that allowing the action to take place would be more important a statement to make than any physical deletion of typed words that remain no matter what someone tries to do to make them disappear. That also went along with the second comment I made that was deleted. " If you don't like an idea or a fact, you just pretend it doesn't exist. Too bad everything and everyone you don't like doesn't disappear at the click of your fingers, though."

It's funny how people want to change everything... I'm sorry to hear that happened.
People can attack us and do things like this, but they can't stop our love for God, or take away our souls..... Sometimes I think my resolve gets stronger and my faith gets stronger.
When life or people throw lemons at me, I don't make lemonade.... I celebrate for it means I'm getting somewhere working in the field and why stop when you must be getting somewhere. :)
