Because Obama said Israel must go back to the indefensible pre-1967 borders, all his fans think it's a good idea. That's because most of them don't know the history of the region, or who owned that land.
This video shows you the story. It shows you why Obama does not share the views of most Americans, because we know that it would be disastrous for Israel to go back to those borders. We also know that Jerusalem must never fall into the hands of islamic extremists.
I don't think Obama's a stupid man. I think he knows where his allegiances lie, and Israel knows it's not with the state of Israel.

It is interesting that this video uses cartoons. Using this form of communication seems to assume certain things about the audience this is aiming for.
Asserting that colonial powers had the right to take property and to establish a state that asseerts special rights for a certain segment of the population is an argument seldom made in these times.
Roryann, do you know about the U.S.S. Liberty and the situation that U.S. servicemen described in first-person testimony? Do you know about the Lyndon Johnson administration's attempt to suppress evidence in this case?
The violence in this area of the world continues to haunt the entire planet, with Israel's possession of hundreds of nuclear weapons while the Israeli government (not all Israelis--in many respects the Israeli press is more diverse than the U.S. press) asserts that Iran has potential nuclear weapons. Elements within Israel, including former authorities in the Shin Bet and other parts of the government, assert that Iran does not have this capability or even intention.
Israel's problems with corruption mirror those of the U.S. Both countries now suffer from a lack of transparency and from living-cost issues that are serious, especially for Israel in Israel proper. The settlements are a drain on Israel, as unpopular bases in places like Okinawa are a drain on the U.S. Repeated incidents of rape over the years in far-flung bases are a sad commentary when you have people far from home with little constructive to do.
The Roman empire over-stretched in this way, as did some of the Greek city states. The U.S. now has dollars draining from our shores to support over-reaching and expensive outposts all over the world. We also have a suicide rate among the services that is unholy.
It is more important than ever to urge peace on persons who seem to relish violence and harm for neighbors. Egypt now has its own issues to deal with. Saudi Arabia appears to have cooperated with Israel against its neighbors for some time.
Romney's connections to Netanyahu go back a long way. I believe this would not help him against Obama in a general election. Too many people no longer trust The New York Times and other news sources that have had to issue so many retractions in recent years.
I hope you will look in more depth at a diversity of sources on the origins and maintenance of violence in North Africa and the Middle East. In first-person interviews of Christians in Jerusalem, CBS found a different stories than those which the Israeli government wishes to speak for those Christians. The Israeli ambassador attempted to interfere with the story before it appeared. The ambassador spoke in a way that portrayed a lack of respect for democracy or free speech.
Individuals have a right to speak for themselves, even if they may suffer from displeasure of an occupying force for their speech. According to the Christians who spoke with CBS, they suffer from the occupation and from uneven treatment of people who are not the same religion as the occupying forces, as the present Israeli government directs and tolerates.
These stories usually do not make the U.S. major media, but they have been widely known by Christian groups with people on the ground in Gaza and the West Bank.
If you haven't noticed already: "I Stand in Support of Israel". Always have, always will.
Do you know that tiny Israel is surrounded by militant, radical islamic countries who want nothing better than to see Israeli's pushed back into the sea?
Obama knows it and that's why he told Israel to go back to the indefensible "pre-1967 borders.
Obama has only made things more unstable in the region than they've ever been.
I guess you're okay with him sending millions to the PA, though, right?
Jews, Christians, and Muslims all live in relative peace in Israel.
As I said, I've heard the anti-Israel, anti-semitism all my life.
Also, I"m not concerned about the rest of the world right now. I'm concerned about not recognizing the America I grew up in, and I am concerned about restoring it, which means getting rid of this administration.
But when it comes to siding with good vs evil, I'll side with Israel over islamic extremists.
This is quite difficult for me to understand, but I accept that you feel that way, no matter what other information exists.
I'm a huge Glenn Beck fan and I stand, as he does, with the Jewish people, and with Israel.
It is the left that engages in the boycotts of Jewish-owned businesses, and the like.
Check this out. It should help you understand where I stand on the subject of Jewish people and Israel:

Of course there are leftists everywhere in the world. Jews have been thrown out of over 100 countries. Islamists want Jews exterminated just like Hitler did.
We know Obama only learned what he was taught by those surrounding him growing up. All you have to do is read his book to see where he's coming from.
Of course he said no such thing. He talked about them as a starting point for negotiations as they've been used before in other peace talks. His mistake was mentioning them at all. It was a P/R mistake, not a diplomatic mistake. Diplomats had no difficulty understanding what he was talking about.
Obama doesn't understand that Israel has a leader that stands with ALL of his people and he stated that Jerusalem must never be allowed to fall to the islamic extremists.
His idea of diplomacy is kiss-a** diplomacy. That's how he deals with militant, radical islamists whose sole purpose in life is to kill all the Jews.

Right now the Israel/Palestinian situation is a classic Balkan problem. It's a blood feud with large numbers of people on both sides unwilling to compromise on anything. If nobody uses nukes things could be the same in a thousand years.
There's no good guys and no bad guys any more except for the extremists on both sides who are bad guys. The vast majority of the rest of the people on both sides suffer as a result.
