Nick Lachey offered Jessica Simpson congrats of his own after she gave birth, today, to baby girl Maxwell Drew Johnson. In a sweet gesture, he and his bride, Vanessa Lachey (formerly Minnillo), sent the new mom a gourmet basket of cookies.
Who ever said that once the well runs dry in failed marriages, the claws come out? Lachey debunked that myth when he sent his ex-wife the gift basket after she gave birth, today.
In fact, Nick and Jess are getting along really well, and there are no obvious signs of bad blood. Had there been, the media would be rife with rumors.
Too bad you can't say that about Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' divorce (Who Let the Dogs Out song playing in the background).
"A large basket of pink and white cookies were delivered to Jessica's hospital room at Cedars-Sinai earlier from Nick and Vanessa," said a source about Simpson's gift from her ex-husband, according to Hollywood Life.
On May Day, Jess gave birth to a healthy baby girl. While the name may be confusing, the affection Simpson received from fellow celebrities is not.
