House season 8 continues next week with episode 20, "Post Mortem." Wilson may have gotten through a tough night, but he's not out of the woods yet.
Season 8 Episode 20 "Post Mortem" Promo
"In an episode directed by and guest-starring Peter Weller ('Dexter,' 'RoboCop'), the team takes on the case of Dr. Peter Treiber (guest star Jamie Elman), a pathologist at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital who knows too much about the hospital staff to trust any of the physicians. The only person he does respect is House, who has mysteriously gone missing. With House in absentia, the team has to figure out how to treat Treiber while making him believe that House is calling all the shots."
Wilson refused to let someone else decide how he was going to treat his cancer in "The C-Word," and now he's going to change things up a bit while he's waiting to find out his fate. That means he and House are going to end up away from the hospital while the team's patient, Dr. Peter Treiber, refuses treatment from anyone but House. That's going to lead to perhaps a bad decision one of the doctors' parts.
In the House season 8 episode 20 promo for "Post Mortem" (below), House says that Wilson's scan is at the end of the week, and the results will tell him if he's going to live or die. Considering what he's dealing with, it's no surprise he decides to change some things and gets himself a new car. He and House head out on a road trip. Wilson—with a shaved head under that hat?—tells House he's never paid for sex, but House tells him it's his treat and tells the waitress he's dying of cancer. It's going to be one wild road trip.
Meanwhile, the team's dealing with Dr. Treiber, who has even tried to cut open his own skull. He's going to refuse any procedure that wasn't ordered by House himself, and Chase tells Adams, "Only if he knows it wasn't." It looks like Chase's plan is going to backfire though, because Dr. Treiber's "Where is House?" ends the promo. How is Chase going to explain this?
