Today, we had already filed for a resatraining order. Today we just had to appear with our attorney. The restraining order has a whole history of his batterring women. The judge took one look and granted it. That is the first step.
The Divorce papers are filed as well. Now he has to discontinue harassing us by calling 10 - 12 times a day. He cannot ask for or take anything else out of the house. This is such a relief, maybe now we can sleep at night.

I will pray for you that the divorce goes through and that this fellow realizes he needs to back off and go away. Hopefully he has some sense of not stirring this up... any further. I hope things get better too. You've had some time of it.
We had a bad case like that with my youngest daughter. She had been married to a psychopath. And he pulls every trick in the book.
The police have seen enough of those guy ... and gals that they pay serious attention to their keeping the order. I would suggest that you report to the police every time the restraining order is broke. Other wise they just keep pushing. They HAVE to know in their mind that the police are called every time they break it just a little or they never quit trying to weasel in a little time :)
