Kate Middleton has certainly meshed well with Britain's royal family. It is as if she was born to be a part of the monarchy. Many are still struggling to get over Princess Diana's treatment and view of the royal family and have a hard time understanding how Princess Catherine has managed to do so well. Clearly, some are a little worried the closeness between Kate and her in-laws is a show for the public, but there are signs that prove it is a legitimate supportive relationship.
A person who was seen the interaction between Queen Elizabeth and Kate says, "I was struck by the body language they had and how clearly fond of each other they are." Surprisingly, Kate does seem very relaxed around her often aloof in-laws. The Duchess married Prince William knowing full well she could become the Queen and is apparently getting some pointers from her grandmother-in-law. "I think she is looking to the queen as an example - you can see in the way she comports herself with a certain discipline."
Kate has not restricted her time and energy to the Queen either. She has also managed to capture Prince Charles's heart as well. The duo share an interest in art and have visited the opera and several art galleries together. A source says, "They get on very well."
Is Kate Middleton's charm the secret to her successful relationship with her in-laws or have the Royals really changed since Princess Diana was a part of their sect? It is great to see this new, improved version of the royal family, but is it all a show for the public? One would hope Kate is truly happy with her life and position as a royal, but time will tell.
