Justin Bieber just can't stop smiling. And his ebullient mood has nothing to do with Selena Gomez. It's because his net profit has finally been tallied up from one week of 'Boyfriend' sales on iTunes. Furthermore, a JB fan site has just published the Biebs' net worth. Whether Justin will, like his fellow teen idol Robert Pattinson, wind up at the top of a "richest celebrities under 30" list is immaterial. JB is a rich boy. And unlike Pattinson who, at 25, is "getting on," the Biebs is still a teenager.
Interestingly, the fan site that published JB's financial statistics decided to focus on just a single facet of what is becoming a vast empire. That facet is Justin's new song, "Boyfriend." And the question is how much money did Justin Bieber make from his new hit in just one week? Since its début, the long-awaited tune has made Justin a small fortune all by itself. In its first week, the song "sold 521,000 digital copies on the internet alone making it the second highest selling début ever in history." "Boyfriend's" total sales between March 26 to April 1, 2012 came to $672,090.00. After deducting various amounts paid out to Justin's record label, producer, co-writers, publishers, and Apple's iTunes, the Teen Dream earned the staggering sum of $116,423.97. $116,423.97 in one week from one song. It boggles the mind. No wonder he can't stop smiling.
The only thing left to say is: "You go, JB."
