So, my college roommate is getting married in August! YAY! I'll be a bridesmaid, and I'm super excited. But I also told her that I would help out with decorating for it.
The wedding is going to be held outside (if the weather is good, otherwise it'll be under tents/inside a barn) and the reception will be at the same place. The actual ceremony, though, will be down a ways near the joining of two rivers, and then the reception will be in a barn.
So, Carolyn took some of us to see the space and I was trying to get some ideas on how to decorate. I took a lot of photos, so I figured I'd share them!

The bride-to-be... teeheehee :)
So the reception will be partially in this old barn. We're thinking maybe of putting photos of the couple on the walls, and maybe garlands of the flowers. What are your thoughts?

Also, food and maybe the band will be inside.

The chairs and tables and eating area will be outside under a tent.

That right side is not so great-looking, so I was thinking covering it up with a folding partition or something like that would get the unsightly fuse boxes out of the way.
Onto the outside part!

There is some space to play horseshoes! And right in front of this will be the tents for eating and such.

This area will be the site of the wedding itself, right by the water. There will be a trellis that the couple will stand under.

Everything will be a lot greener by then!

The walk from the barn area to where the ceremony will take place will be along this stretch next to the stream. I'm thinking of hanging things in the trees? Any suggestions?
And here's a bonus...

That bird-in-flight is a bald eagle! So cool!

Love the first photo, hilarious!
This will be a lot of fun and a challenge to decorate. Is she having any kind of theme for her wedding? The little twimkle lights would be great in the trees but would require running a lot of electrical cords.
Looks like a really neat location!
