Just wondering what plans you have made or are going to make for Mother's Day. My mother has passed on quite sometime now, but my son is taking his wife and I out for dinner. It is special for me because my grandson Jax will be with us.
Glad to see you Katryn work is good I did it many years when I was younger. With all that you and your family has been through this past year one would know that work is needed for you to keep up. I hope you and the rest of the family are doing better. How is your daughter doing in college and Callisto doing in school?
May is also a good time of the year for cancer surgeries it is a known fact! So it looks like you guys have the good time of the year in your favor! Glad to hear that Sean was able to go home for a trip to see friends before he has his surgery. Getting everything in order for the new and improved family starting by 2013. Good luck to all of you. Glad to hear the girls are doing well in school and college. Makes it easier for mom. You are considered the mom of the year in my book about you.
We certainly try here...it's been a difficult time lately, but I am hoping that it is also helping to teach them as they grow and there will be nothing that they face in the future that they think will be their end...
It sure is and that make's Jennifer our good mother of the week. She love her daughter, daughter loves her and they both love horses.So this is a win win situation no matter how you look at it.
Nothing wrong with that to me. Getting to go out and eat, with no clean up or dishes afterwords, and some flowers too sounds like a perfect Mother's Day to me. Hope you enjoy it all. I will think about you when I get home from my early dinner with my family.
For the first few years after my mom died, I just didn't want to celebrate Mother's Day at all.........I'd just spend the day/time just crying and crying, as I'm an only child and missed my mom so terribly much........it was extremely difficult for me for the first few years.......took a long time to really "work through" my griefwork!!!!
I hear you, I also am an only child & I think that is what makes it so hard. There is no one else that can remind you of a time when you laughed with your mom or something she did that made you mad or love her more. As an only we have lonely memories and sometimes could use a friendly reminder of mom. Glad to hear you worked through it. I just know when it is my time to go my mom will be there waiting to meet me. Happy Mother's day to you.
Now, this one seems quite nice as long as they make what you like and they will leave you alone to read the morning paper while eating your meal. No rushing out of bed the minute the alarm goes off. Just nice and slow is the great pace for Mother's day. Enjoy I will think of you that morning.
I'll send a card to my mother and give her a call. We live over 700 miles away, so that's about all I can do. I doubt my daughter and husband will plan anything for me.
You never know what may come about. I have also learned that this is one day that mother's get what they really want for one day. A day alone to do what they want to!!!
No plans, my children live up north and the girls are mothers themselves now and of course my son has a wife and family also, so that is their first priority now.
As I said above it is a day that you can celebrate all yourself. Indulge and don't feel guilty as it is mother's day and you deserve to do what ever you want to do. Wasn't it we who asked over and over again " If I could have one day to myself" LOL we can now! Happy Mother's day to you too.
Sure is a fun idea......long warm soak in the tub without interruptions, a nice hot cup of tea, coffee, wine whatever it is you drink, sitting out in the morning air with just the sounds of nature in the background. It can be anything at all you want to do and no guilt.
What a good idea for you. This way if you are up to it you can visit again on Mother's day and mom will be all the happier to have another visit. If it works out that you are not able to make it, mom is already happy that you visited her earlier. Now you can give mom that day all to herself that she has probably asked for earlier in life. It is a win win situation.

Sean just got home from a trip to see friends before his surgery...
May is going to be very hectic here
