I'm so sick of all the talk of going to war once again. If Israel feels threatened by the Iranian leadership then I'm all with them handling their business. I don't want to see American troops drawn into another war.

I'm also sick and tired of the Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney ratcheting up the talk of war. If only he or one of his 5 chicken hawk sons had decided to serve our nation in a military capacity, Romney wouldn't be so gun-ho about going to war.
Not one of his 5 sons felt it necessary to even join the American National Guard. That speaks volumes about the Romney family. It says that he's willing to put other people's children in the line of fire, but not one of his own.
George, that's a price I'm willing to pay in order to avoid another trillion dollar war and seeing my fellow Americans being bought home in body bags. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Mine leans toward a mutual defense pact with Israel, bringing NATO and perhaps other nations into a defense (in kind) of both Israel and Iran, and an additional pact removing ALL nuclear weapons from the Iron Belt between the Mediterranean Sea and the Bay of Bengal. Neither has been seriously proposed by any credible party. I know for certain that while I proposed it, I am just incredible. Or is the right word noncredible.

Where do you live, Karl? Every place else gas prices have gone up. They backed off a bit when the US started negotiations with Iran, but they will go up again as soon as the sanctions really start to bite.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Right now, here in the great state of New Jersey, gas prices are as low as $3.41 per gallon. That, my friend, is a decrease.
You do have a great Republican Governor, Lloyd. New Jersey, due to good sense choosing Republicans, has the third lowest gasoline tax in the nation, at 14.5 cents. Who's who of Democratic Governors find tax rates of 45 cents and more. They are at the other end of the list. LOL
Okay, quick IQ test. If gas prices are going down, why are the Republicans and Faux Noise screaming about prices going up and blaming President Obama for the increase?
George, I just told you, the voters put in Republicans, and where they are they are dropping gas taxes to help people live, work, and thrive. To help the economy the RIGHT way. Who is saying they are down? Those in Republican States! LOL. They even make the case for Republicans when they try not to, because they have the policies that work.

Char, the low tax on gasoline has been in place for decades. Governor Christie has nothing to do with that. It was in place under Democratic Governors and will remain intact due to the people of New Jersey.
Once again, Governor Christie cannot claim credit for New Jersey's low gasoline prices. You are being very misleading.
Because he has repeatedly given problems to those trying to increase production, and lip service to the effort, while placing regulation and delays at every turn. You know very well where the diversions from actually policy have attempted to portray him as helping with the new drilling on private land, while delaying leases even to explore until recently. Look at the way he cancelled all drilling after BP, even that which was already approved, that was safe shallow technology. That was when this last rise started. Meanwhile he went to Brazil, praised them for using the rigs that were freed up by these cancellations, and said we would be proud to be their first customers. He made it happen, they are drilling, we're not, and he's proud of it! That says it all!
Char, look it up -- oil production is higher than it was during the Bush years. I am really sorry, but if you are going to simply try to spread the Republican talking points instead of being honest, I will not be able to carry on a sensible dialogue with you.

That’s right – eight years. Not only that last year, we relied less on foreign oil than in any of the past sixteen years."
He did. They were already in the works. ON PRIVATE land. I hate having to answer the same misinformation twice. Exploration is lip service. He has slow boated any drilling, while giving great lip service to allowing exploration. Quit quoting figures that date back to approval by Bush. The new ventures were outside his ability to stop, that's the only reason they are happening. He continues to take credit for things he had nothing to do with, and blindly you help spread the misinformation.

Even this mildly worded article, softening the truth is a worthy indictment. We import a decreased percentage, because the economy is so bad under liberal policies, and the increases in production were initiated by Bush, independent sources say. More than one, industry experts. This is the truth of it.

Char, America can drill for oil until pigs fly and the price of gasoline will still rise. It has nothing to do with drilling. It has all to with Wall Street speculators and oil barons across the world.
Char, demand for gasoline has fallen because cars are getting more miles per gallon and demand is on the decrease. According to the principles of demand and supply, why haven't the price dropped? Because it's beyond the control of the American government, i.e President Obama.

Lloyd, that's what I call "hitting the nail on the head!" Despite being our Governor(MA) for 4 years (I still question where he came from because he was never involved with State politics), I just don't see him in touch with mainstream America, he or his wife!
August Lady, the Romney family haven't a clue when it comes to going to bed at night, hoping and praying that one's family member, in Iraq and Afghanistan, is safe or in harms way.
I wonder if Romney has ever attended the funeral of a fallen soldier.
Chuck, of course it makes no sense. When the whole point for people is to shovel the Republican talking points without regard to truth or reason, it never makes sense to thinking people. The problem is that there are a great number of people who: 1. want to believe it; 2. are unthinking enough to believe it; 3 hate President Obama enough that they don't care if it is true or not.
