Extended 'The Vampire Diaries' Season 3 Episode 21 Preview: 'Before Sunset' Brings Terror From Alaric

The Vampire Diaries season 3 continues next week with the penultimate episode of the season, episode 21, "Before Sunset," and those in Mystic Falls have to figure out what to do about Alaric now that the transformation is complete and everyone is in danger.

While a shorter promo aired right after episode 20, "Do Not Go Gentle," revealing that yes, they're going to have a very powerful, seemingly impossible to stop right now, Alaric on their hands, a longer promo is now up online teasing more of Alaric terrorizing everyone.

The longer The Vampire Diaries season 3 episode 21 promo for "Before Sunset" (below) has a few new scenes. It shows Stefan coming downstairs to answer the doorbell when Damon shows up with Bonnie to let him know what happened. This one also shows that Rebekah's up and about again (and of course missed yet another dance) and surprised to see Alaric. "You're supposed to be dead," she says to him. "I am," he replies, before he ends up pinning her to a locker, stake in hand. Since a promotional photo from the finale has been released showing her and Damon, you know he doesn't kill her, but it looks like everyone's getting beat up in this episode.

There's also another shot of Klaus in this longer trailer, turning to listen to something. This one also shows more of the fighting going on in the hallway with Alaric. Will everyone make it out of it alive? Will Alaric still be around at the end of the season, or will they stop him?
