Happy Note:Angry Note

Happy Note: We finally got into our house that we're buying. Paying less than we were in the apartment that we were renting. I don't have everything that we want to get yet, not even close as it all costs money but it's a work in progress. We also don't have everything put away yet.

ANGRY NOTE: I got an invoice today from the apartments that we just moved from. For starters they were @$$holes about us moving out to begin with because we weren't ready for closing, so we asked if we could pay them for additional time to stay there- they told us just 2 days before we needed to be out by and told us no- there was nothing that we could do to stay. We had to be out by Saturday (14th) and they said that if we were there by Monday Morning that they would immediately file for an eviction. We have always paid our rent on time, even ahead of time. We've never been trouble for them but yet, we still had our issues at the end. Oh, back to the invoice, it's of what they feel we owe them- I was expecting our last water bill, but apparently they feel we owe them a LOT more. Almost $900 worth- they charged us to replace carpet (the carpet did NOT need replaced- only cleaned and is normally typical to need to be cleaned so to charge me $800 for it is ridiculous) then they charged me to "clean" which is dumb since we didn't leave the place a wreck. They also charged me for a shower rod!!! WTF?! I didn't take it so it's still there..... why are they charging me for it?! I would have made sure the apartment looked all pristine myself, but on the VERY short notice that we had to move, we didn't have time to do it, but we STILL did NOT leave the apartment unreasonable! I'm so fumed >.<

IF YOU LIVE IN THE INDIANAPOLIS/GREENWOOD area, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND against staying at Brookhaven Apartments!
