American Idol Recap - Top Five Finalists from Seasons 1 through 10

After Elise Testone's elimination last night, we now know that our top five American Idol contestants are:

1. Hollie Cavanaugh
2. Jessica Sanchez
3. Joshua Ledet
4. Phillip Phillips
5. Skylar Laine

I thought it would be fun to take a look back at all the top five finalists from Seasons 1-10 of American Idol to see how they fared, and how fans think they stack up against this year's five finalists.

First Up: American Idol's Season One Top 5 Finalists were:

1. Kelly Clarkson
2. R. J. Helton
3. Tamyra Gray
4.  Justin Guarini
5.  Nikki McKibbin

The Top 5 perfomed Burt Bacharach Love Songs

Kelly Clarkson - Dionne Warwick's "Walk On By"

 R. J. Helton - Christopher Cross's "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)"

 Tamyra Gray -  Dionne Warwick's "A House is Not a Home"

Justin Guarini -  Dusty Springfield's "The Look of Love"  

Nikki McKibbin - Lou Johnson's "(There's) Always Something There to Remind Me" (Lou Johnson)

After the votes were tallied, R.J. Helton and Nikki McKibbin were in the Bottom 2 and R.J. Helton was eliminated.
