One night last month, I decided to get fancy. Scott and I went to the Asian Market to get some veggies since a) it's cheaper, b) they have neat things, and c) it's closer. We ended up picking out what we thought were purple yams, but it turned out that the ones next to them were the purple ones. We had gotten white ones with purple skin, but the others were purple inside with white skin. Go figure.
Anyway, I mashed them up with brown sugar and butter and stuff, and also cooked up some steak and some other veggies.
It all turned out pretty darn delicious! And my first time cooking yams, too.
