Grey's Anatomy's eighth season will be coming to an end with episode 24, "Flight," on May 17. With some contracts still uncertain and futures up in the air, there's going to be quite the cliffhanger going into the summer break.

"Faced with a life threatening situation, the doctors must fight to stay alive while trying to save the lives of their peers; Bailey and Ben make a decision regarding their relationship; and Teddy is presented with a tempting offer. Meanwhile, Richard plans a special dinner for the residents."
The residents will be choosing where they're going to end up in "Migration," but, with what's coming up in "Flight," could plans change come season 9? Considering the title of the episode, it's impossible not to speculate that something could happen involving a plane. Will a group of them be on a plane that crashes? Will some of their lives be hanging in the balance? Will some of their futures be part of the cliffhanger?
Meanwhile, it sounds like at least Bailey could have a good Grey's Anatomy season 8 finale. Could she end up engaged to Ben or at least making a significant step in their relationship? Speaking of relationships, Teddy has been alone since losing her husband. Because she doesn't really have anything keeping her in Seattle—Cristina's looking forward to leaving, and she can stay in touch with friends—could Teddy be planning to leave Seattle Grace behind like the residents?
Finally, it sounds like the dinner Richard's planning could be bittersweet—if it happens. With everything else going on, will he get a chance to give the dinner? Meredith, Cristina, and Alex have been there since the beginning. Will they still be there when season 9 begins? If not, will they get to see them off in a proper way like this dinner seems like it could do?
