Bye Bye; Leaving in 2 hours

We are packed for our trip.  The car is loaded,  Got food fixed to eat along the way.  Got cell phones fully charged and our New GPS installed.  Got the CB's hooked up for those dead zone areas or to just save on cellphone charges.   Got a bit of house tidying up to do. Then we will be off to Vallejo, California for a family reunion and to celebrate my mother in law's 90th birthday.  She is a sweet but sassy lady.   Love her very much, we have always got along.

Meeting our daughter and family in Colfax, WA.  Two of her children will travel awhile with us and somewhere at a stop we will have them switch.  Except for the little guy he is staying with mom and dad all the way.  Got travel bags ready for all the children.  Fun things for them to do, snacks etc.

We plan to drive most the night but one will sleep while the other drives for both vehicles.  We may pull off at a rest stop and sleep a couple of hours.  Got a thermos ready to fill with hot coffee.  Lots of bottles of water to drink.  It is a 15 and half hour trip.  This is the first long trip we have taken in a long time.  Went last year to the Washington coast.  But this one is a lot longer trip.

Mother is excited about our coming and will get to meet Andrey for the first time.  His birthday is two days after hers and they are going to share the celebration together.  Andrey LOVES birthday's anyones.  He helps blow out the candles and helps you open your gifts.  He is turning four on May 1st.   Great Grandma loves SEE's Chocolates and so got her a big box with all soft centers.   Andrey loves boxes of chocolate too.  We got him a smaller box so he does not gobble up his great grandma's chocolate.

This is also a special trip for my husband and I as well.  We celebrated our 42nd anniversary April 20th and so this is part of our celebration of that too taking this much looked forward event and trip.

One of my sons who could not go this time is house and dog and cat sitting for us until we get home.   We expect to be home sometime Tuesday morning.  May 1st Andrey's birthday.
