“Beauty By Example”: Olay Honors Moms This Mother's Day

While there is no absolute standard of beauty, many women would best describe their mothers as the most beautiful woman in their life. To acknowledge this, Olay has launched a campaign to honor one million moms by Mother's Day. "Beauty By Example" is an online campaign designed to give a platform for women to recognize their moms as being beautiful both inside and out. Olay does not plan to stop here, however. The beauty giant will couple this effort with a contribution of up to one million ounces of beauty product to look good feel better, a program dedicated to women undergoing treatment for cancer.

According to Yahoo! Finance, Joe Arcuri, Vice President - Skin and Personal Care, North America, Proctor & Gamble states of the campaign that, "Olay has always been committed to helping women of all ages look and feel their best through our skincare solutions. Last year, we noticed many women commenting on our
Facebook page, saying that their moms represented true beauty to them. That sparked the idea for our 'Beauty By Example' campaign, which celebrates the unique bond between mothers and daughters, and seeks to recognize millions of moms as truly inspirational." The campaign hopes to showcase the beauty of moms through stories and photographs that can be posted on Olay's Facebook wall.

Yahoo! Finance reports that Louanne Roark, Executive Director at look good feel better is grateful for the "Beauty By Example" campaign stating, "At look good feel better we know that many women undergoing cancer treatment experience dramatic treatment-related changes in appearance that often affect their sense of well-being and self-confidence. We are thankful for the support and partnership of Olay, in helping these women maintain their self-esteem through the
donation of up to a million ounces of product."
