Josh Hutcherson might have a bit of a bromance going on with his Hunger Games costar Liam Hemsworth, but apparently he's got a major man crush on Ryan Gosling. The actor known for playing the boy with the bread reportedly named his new adorable pit bull puppy Driver after Ryan's character in the movie Drive.
Josh adopted his pet from an animal shelter, and Driver ended up bein
g one lucky dog; he had suffered a broken leg and lost a few toes before lucking out and getting to go home with Josh. However, now that Driver has proved how tough he is, he has a lot to live up to since he's named after real-life superhero Ryan Gosling—the star of The Notebook has broken up a street brawl and saved a woman from being run over. It's not too farfetched to think that Driver could end up be a super dog; courageous canines do save lives all the time.
Josh Hutcherson says that he's "obsessed" with the movie Drive, so perhaps he'll have a special scorpion jacket made for Driver. That would just be too adorable for words.
Ryan Gosling is also a dog fan, so who knows? Maybe he'll return the favor someday by adopting a dog and naming it Peeta after Josh Hutcherson's beloved character in The Hunger Games. Peeta is extremely loyal and protective, so his moniker is perfect for man's best friend. Or since Josh is such a great guy himself, maybe he should go with "Hutch."
But for now girls will just have to pray that Josh and Ryan arrange a puppy play date for Driver and Ryan's adorable dog, George (wonder who he's named after?).
