I Lost A Friend Today

It tears me up a little. I had known him for several years, and we had exchanged many letters... but we had never met in person.

We attempted a long-distance relationship for about a year, but it didn't work out. But he said he would always be my friend.

So I moved on, got married, had a child, etc. And I stayed in contact with this friend.

I texted him when I could, and talked to him on the phone once in a while...

but finally, I guess he couldn't handle it anymore.

So today he said that we shouldn't be friends anymore.

Apparently, he never really got over me & it must've hurt too much to keep talking to me.

I had this happen a couple of years ago with another male friend... and eventually, he emailed me like nothing had happened!

So I guess I'm kind of hoping that will happen again with this friend... but I'm not holding my breath.

I will miss him. He will always have a special place in my heart.

Your situation reminds me a little of mine. I have a male "friend" who I have talked to for several years. We have never met, just emailed, or wrote. He cuts our "friendship" off whenever he gets angry with me. Then in his time he comes back like nothing happened. I stay in touch with him because my feelings go very deep for him. He is not a nice person and I am trying to break away. I'm sorry about your friend but maybe he will come back.
