Everything must be exactly right
If you expect me from my bed to jump
First, have I found slumber all the night?
Next indeed, I cease to be a grump
Then up I hop to lessen all my plump
I am determined: I shall exercise!
I jiggle, try to joggle off my rump
Hoping to expunge my oversize
Blotting out my dreams of hot French fries
On the scale I stand; I analyze
This decuain uses the rhyme scheme below.

I have been dancing and biking and walking, but paying a HIGH price for those activities. Now, with these exercises, I hope the pain fades and my aerobics increase.
It gets harder as we age, doesn't it? I truly thought it was laziness that kept some middle aged folks from exercising. Now I know better. It's hard to contain and relieve pain.
I'm afraid that I messed up (missed) the "prompt word" again--and this time I even looked for it ! ;p
I actually like to exercise a lot. I wish it had greater impact on my physique, but oh well. It's my heart that concerns me more than my curves. And I know aerobics help my heart.
I just finished mowing our first mowing of the back yard. Front yard tomorrow.
We don't fake in our house, sir.
;-)
Nice poem Susan it's making us all think ..... LOL!
He's 12 btw. :-)
Nice poem, BTW.
But seriously, I have a wonky heart and heart disease took my dad's mom, two of her children and it'll probably take my dad. Bad genes. Gonna bike away from them.
