Revenge season 1 is going to be airing an episode that takes place all in flashbacks with episode 20, "Legacy," and it will be time to see how it all began for Emily (who was still Amanda Clarke).

"The year is 2002 in the Hamptons... Emily, who is still Amanda Clarke, is wayward and reckless until Nolan convinces her to read her father's journals. It is then that it all starts sinking in, and Amanda starts staking out the Grayson home, identifying all the Grayson Global players her father described, and piecing together the truth. Her anger builds into determination and focus; this is where it all begins - the genesis of Amanda's ultimate plan to bring justice to her father."
This is the episode that has been teased for some while, which isn't going to show the present but instead reveal how Amanda got started in her plan. She was still Amanda Clarke then, not yet Emily Thorne. She's going to be collecting all the information she needs to become the Emily that everyone knows in the present. This is also the episode that will show that party from the photo, the party that has been teased for some time and you knew had to be coming up in at least a flashback. Instead, it's going to be part of the flashback episode, which means that Lydia's going to be back.
This Revenge episode is going to give fans a chance to see what has changed over the years for these characters. So much has changed for the characters just this season, so you can imagine how much things will be different a decade ago. With the show all about Emily's quest to make those who wronged her father pay, this episode is going to explore just how she realized how deep the cover-up goes and just how many people should be held responsible. It's impossible not to be looking forward to this episode if you've been watching the show all season and even if you're a new fan.
