Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson Could Star in 'Fifty Shades of Grey' After All

Kristen Stewart might get her BDSM on with Robert Pattinson in Fifty Shades of Grey after all—at least the actor and actress haven't been ruled out for roles in the movie yet.

It would make sense to cast Kristen and Rob as Anastasia and Christian since author E.L. James' book Fifty Shades of Grey began its life as erotic Twilight fanfiction. However, Hollywood Life recently reported that Rob and Kristen were "dissed" by not even being considered to star in the movie.

Gossip Cop has debunked that story by pointing out that it hasn't even been a month since rights to turn the book into a movie were acquired. So at this point there's been no talk about who will be cast or who will direct. However, Hollywood Life's story is kind of correct in a way—Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson haven't been considered for the starring roles in Fifty Shades of Grey because no one has been considered.

Of course Kristen and Rob might not want the parts even if they were offered to them—they seemed to be pretty uncomfortable shooting their sex scenes for Breaking Dawn, so it's kind of hard to imagine them being cast in a movie that's mostly about sex. Perhaps an actor and actress with more experience with sexually-charged movies would be better suited to play Christian and Anastasia—Michael Fassbender certainly has no problem with stripping down, and actress Emily Browning proved that she can handle strange and somewhat scary sexual situations in the 2011 movie Sleeping Beauty, which is certainly nothing like the Disney fairytale film.

Emily Browning was Twilight author Stephenie Meyer's original choice to play Bella, so she'd probably make a great Anastasia. Meyer's original choice to play Edward was new Man of Steel Henry Cavill, so perhaps he should also be considered for the role of Christian in Fifty Shades of Grey.
