Its a great take on what is happening now and here is another story only mine wont rhyme... A woman who is disabled and whose daughter and her many children live with her, the daughter works... says that she is going to try to get her daughter to sign one of her kids over to her.... then she can get another check... Because she is collecting a disability check , if she gets custody, then the child will get a check too... All the time the daughter will still be in the household and working but paying no child support for this child...

I can add more stories maree, but thought that I would stop there... This rip off of the taxpayers is costing millions... This is what is wrong , they just want to cut , cut , cut, they dont ever get to the core of the problem... by cutting benefits, it hurts many innocent people.

They need to spend money to create jobs to curve fraud... then go after those that do the dirt... not the innocent..

Here is yet another version of the good old government handing out taxpayers money... A neighborhood woman has an elderly man living with her and paying her over $400.00 a month to stay there...She claims to of went to the welfare to try and get the state to PAY her for watching over this man... Now , this man can get around just fine, he also drives his own car, writes his own checks, has a banking account, is clean cut, he was going to the doctors by himself( until she wanted to get involved to get the doctor to see that she is taking an interest in him as this would look good for the welfare people). She doesnt take care of him, other than make a meal for supper once in awhile( he even foots the bill for the groceries, while her and her son eat these) Her son also, gives her money to stay there , about $300.00 so she claims... She doesnt even know what meds this man takes... He told her he was diabetic but she doesnt monitor his sugar every morning and couldnt tell you what kind of meds he takes... She works herself and on many occassion she is either working all day on the weekends and sometimes doesnt return home until late in the evening... She says, that she gets unemployment too, because she doesnt get a full 40 hours in aweek... I bet if she does collect a check from the state for watching him, she will not tell them of the other money that he is giving her to live there... Its just another way as far as I am concerned to rip off the taxpayer...

Grrr. There are so many stories like this, vickey.

I know Marilyn, it hurts the innocent as there are people that really need help and the greedy, sit around and just think up ways of using the system..

Sounds like a Jerry Springer episode.

And, the story will repeat itself. As the studies show, welfare recipients beget welfare recipients, working people beget working people.
