Gay porn was front and center for about three minutes during a Canadian news show this past week—unintentionally, of course. It seems a cable repair job went awry, and viewers were 'treated' to something special with their morning coffee.
According to a report from the Hollywood Reporter, Hamilton, Ontario-based TV station CHCH Television apologized to their viewing audience on Friday for the glitch.
The sex scenes came from the cable company itself, because the wrong programming was inserted following the repair of some cut cable TV lines.
"In the splicing together, unfortunately, some inappropriate content went to air," the apology read.
Can you imagine watching the morning news—still half asleep while sipping your first cup of coffee—and suddenly seeing gay porn sex scenes on your TV screen? And what about families who may have children getting ready for school? How do parents explain that kind of a glitch to school-aged children?
It seems some of the TV viewers who caught the gay porn morning entertainment did at least have a sense of humor. Some of them posted on their Twitter accounts, describing the sex scene debacle.
"I woke up in the middle of a Maplethorpe shoot," one Twitter user wrote.
How might you have reacted to a morning viewing of gay sex on your television screen?
