The blackest crow that ever flew would surely turn to white
If ever I prove false to you bright day will turn to night

Girl let loose of Bruce Molsky’s soul.
He’ll turn your tail feathers as white as snow.
You’re just thirteen and you ain’t no crow.
So girl let loose of Bruce Molsky’s soul.
He’ll turn your tail feathers as white as snow.
‘Sides you’re too darn young to play that fiddle.
How you learnt it so fast is the devil’s riddle.
And It’ll turn your tail feathers white as snow.
You’re too darn young to stroke that fiddle.
Now how you gonna tell them kids at school,
that he made you a four-stringed bluegrass fool.
Girl, you’re too darn young to pluck that fiddle.
What you gonna tell them kids at school.
Best sling him through the door out to the cold,
altogether, glass breast and name in gold
You’ve nothin’ to tell them kids at school.
Best sling him by the neck out to the cold.
'be better with a guitar and Norman Blake.
If needs be possessed he’s the one to take.
Best sling Bruce Molsky out to the cold.
Might be a sight better with Norman Blake
So girl, get shed of Bruce Molsky’s soul
Anyhow, he’s still alive ... or so I’m told
You’d be a long sight better with Norman Blake's

Whetstone: Often when I'm looking for inspiration on a particular topic, I research it. So, even though I knew something of Bruce Molsky already, I google him .... and got this hilarious story:

I have to feature this on the Wall of Exorcism on The Triple Name Club.
Thanks for your kind comments - you must check out the link. You'll love the story. It is much better than my poem.
And I will read that story shortly.
I'm definitely going to send this over to fb and tag Bruce on it. Hope he reads it. What a hoot!
One of my favorite forms on a dear topic and look what’s been done to improve it! See for yourself at Mindful Poetry.
What a story. I see how your poem developed from that. Too funny. My stomach had the worst knot from trying to contain my laughter.
I'll sleep happy tonight if I don't die first!
nice job, Atticus.
I love the words of Morgan Freeman about Black History month talking to Mike Wallace in an interview.
Mike: what do you think about Black History month?
Morgan: I don't like it. First of all, it's ludicrous we could appreciate black history in a month. Secondly, black history is actually American history. What do you think about Jewish History Month?
Mike: There is no Jewish History Month.
Morgan: Do you want one?
Mike: No, I don't.
Morgan: Well, I don't either.
Mike: Then how will you address the race and discrimination issue?
Morgan: Let's stop talking about it.
Mike: How do we do that?
Morgan: You stop thinking of me as a black man. I'll stop seeing you as a Jewish man. I'll start seeing you as "Mike" and you can see me as "Morgan"!
I loved this interview. Is it possible it could be that simple to begin to evolve into the men and women we are meant to be? Watch it for yourselves. Go to youtube and search "Morgan Freeman/ Black History Month". I think you'll be impressed as I was.
Lots of Jews in Boston! One of my Jewish friends just moved to Brookline.
