Ted Nugent and his anti-Obama comments!

Ted Nugent said some pretty strong words about President Obama, and the Secret Service has investigated Ted Nugent. All is well, and the Secret Service has decided to leave it alone.

Quite honestly, I want Obama defeated in November, but it is due to political reasons such as the economy and jobs. Let's concentrate our rhetoric on fact and not on political rants such as that of Ted Nugent.

My take is that celebrities need to shut up! People like Ted Nugent, Kim Kardashian and others are ruining our country, as they try to say and do the most outrageous things. I believe that most of them have a motive: they want free advertising.

Let's defeat President Obama on just the facts. Let's not muddy the field with accusations of his eating dogs, and the same is true for Romney putting his dog on the top of his car.

These are fun little facts, but they take away from what is important. We need to elect the best person for the job, and I don't think it is Obama, but I wish him well. Ted Nugent should not have said what he did, but I also believe in freedom of speech, and it seems that since Obama took office, we have all become a little skitish.

I think it is sad that there is such a huge focus on what people say. I understand safety but I think that we are taking this a little too far. People should be able to express their like or dislike for any of the worlds or nations leaders with out fear.
On the other hand I do think that there is such a thing as respect for those in office and that our words should reflect that.

This guy is one angry gun loving, gun touting extremist nut, a perfect poster child for the NRA. If I was the Secret Service I would definitely have the hairs on the back of my neck standing on end, after hearing his comment of how if President Obama was re-elected he, Nugent, would be dead or in jail. Now if this intended as a prediction than my question why would he be in jail or dead? What action on his part, again Nugent, would result in his death or imprisonment? Perhaps his love and obsession with guns, has something to do with this prediction

He didn't threaten Obama. And I think he was rather smart to tell us that if Obama is re-elected, Nugent will either be in prison or dead. Now they'll have a more difficult time making him disappear since everyone will be watching.

have never been a huge fan of nugents music, tho i have always admired and respected his great talent as a musician.

he made a metaphor - using expressions that have been used for centuries.

in this case, they were in regards to the "battle" of politics.

we all know, that this 'battle' is not truly a pugilistic event - not a dual, joust, or fight to the death - but it is a battle of wits, ideology, and mehodology.

i see nothing about the comments he made to be debated - he expressed an opinion a metaphorical way - mush the same as the way hank williams jr did.

much the way every person does - obama mentioned 'enemies', and 'banding together to fight' - did he mean it literally? of course not.

honestly carol, what i find objectionable is the press attention, and treatment of this.

he said it to a group where he was asked to speak - so whAt?

why is it suddenly national news to be twisted, distorted, and analyzed?

I dont know what all he was reported as saying....BUT with the scandals of the Feds and the prostitutes, the GSI and the wasting of the taxpayers money, the investigation of the Fast and the Furious... AND the runaway budget... Wouldnt you think that the Secret Service would find better things to still yet, waste the taxpayers money on? Especially now?
