For at least one singer on The Voice getting booted off the show wasn't necessarily a bad thing. RaeLynn's been taken in and mentored by none other than her coach, Blake Shelton, and his wife, Miranda Lambert.
Although the adorable 17-year-old lost her bid to win the singing competition this week, her career is far from dead. She's got two of the biggest names in country music working with her to make sure she succeeds.
The tiny blonde admits her elimination was a surprise. However, she also says she understands why Shelton decided to save Erin Willet instead. It seems RaeLynn is also a fan of her peer's amazing talent.
"Erin's been through so much this last year," said the country cutie. "I'm so thankful that this happened for her and she's such a great person."
While RaeLynn admits that she hated being booted from The Voice, she still says being on it made her a better performer. It provided her with a fan base she otherwise might never have found. "I've got tons of fans," she notes. "I went from having 300 (Twitter) followers to 40,000...." She credits that huge bump solely to the singing competition.
As for her future, RaeLynn's hopeful about that too. "...I love Blake (Shelton) and Miranda (Lambert) and I know they're going to help me so I'm really, really excited about what's to come," she insists.
