Twenty-three-year-old missing Fort Bragg soldier Kelli Bordeaux still hasn't been found but her case appears to be on fire with updates, flooding the headlines with each minute. Over the course of the past 24 hours, a person of interest has been identified, has been questioned multiple times. There have also been searches with focus on ponds in the area surrounding the woman's point of disappearance. With the searching of bodies of water, it's evident that investigators may believe that the young woman is deceased, but anything could have happened. Could Kelli have disappeared on her own? Was she abducted? Was she murdered?
A registered sex offender by the name of Nicholas Holbert, 25, has been questioned at least twice now in connection to the disappearance of the young woman. Kelli Bordeaux was reportedly driven home by Holbert, who had been working at Froggy Bottoms on Saturday night. He's been publicly named a person of interest in this case, which immediately draws to question whether this man actually drove the woman home or if he did something to her. Obviously if detectives have felt the need to put him through several "rounds" of questioning, they're not entirely sure about the guy.
What's more, detectives have admitted to finding evidence that have them "concerned" about Kelli's disappearance. They are not revealing what evidence they found, nor are they clarifying on what kind of concerns they may have for the woman.
So, to be speculative, it looks that the man who gave her a ride home on Saturday night was most likely the last person to see her before she vanished. Does this Nicholas Holbert guy have a criminal record? A drug problem? Psychosis of any type? Does he have a history of moving about or is he a local of the Fort Bragg area? He claims to have nothing to do with the missing woman's disappearance, but it's apparent that detectives are certainly on his ass regarding this case and if history is any indicator of how things turn out, there will probably be a slew of details as this story continues developing.
