It's been raining on and off all day here, so I've just been a little lazy. I guess I should have posted this earlier today.
1). National Wear Your Pajamas to Work Day: I guess if you work from home, it's not a big deal, but if you go in to work, your boss may have an issue with it. This holiday is traditionally the day after taxes are due, so usually the 16th. Taxes were due yesterday, so we celebrate this one today. De-stress after a long day of finishing up taxes and be comfortable! I will admit I stayed in my PJs a little (okay, a lot) longer today than normal.
2). International Juggler's Day: This holiday celebrates the skill of juggling and those talented individuals that can juggle many balls and other objects at the same time. The best jugglers can juggler up to 10 balls at a time....I only can do 4. Yes, I can juggle. Long story...for another time. You could also say that mom's are juggler's....of everything...so celebrate them today too. According to Juggler James Reid: "World Juggling Day was originally established in the mid 1980's as "National Juggling Day" by the International Jugglers' Association(IJA)."
3). Newspaper Columnists Day: This holiday recognizes the importance and value of the newspaper columnist....and with written newspapers going by the wayside, this day may too. The National Society of Newspaper Columnists, which was founded in 1977, sponsors and promotes this day in support of columnists and journalists around the world. This day is dedicated to increasing awareness of the importance and contributions made by by columnists and journalists.
4). Pet Owners Independence Day: Hmm...wasn't sure what this one meant. According to answers.com, Dog and cat owners are suppose to take the day off from work and the pets are to go to work in their place. Oh....hmm...I don't think that would work to well, so I don't get it then.
5). International or World Amateur Radio Day: On this day in 1925, the International Amateur Radio Union was founded. Today there are more than 160 Member-Societies that represent countries around the world and will celebrate World Amateur Radio Day today. I can't seem to find the theme for this year's celebration.
So, have a great hump day and celebrate!

#5. I was WN9RZA when I was a teen, but then was given a choice between pursuing ham radio and photography. My dad was a serious amateur photographer and we had several cameras and a dark room. Which choice do you think I made?
