Maria Menounos of Dancing With the Stars reveals that she wasn't the most popular girl in school. Although you couldn't judge it by looking at her now, she was actually a nerd way back when.
Before her highly publicized kiss with Derek Hough, Maria spent her time in a metal leg brace, watching episodes of Star Trek and WWE wrestling. "I can quote lines from episodes of the original Star Trek," she says. Although there's nothing wrong with being a Trekkie, she just didn't fit in with the in-crowd. She had to wait to transform from the ugly duckling into a swan before the boys began to notice her, and her first kiss came at the age of eighteen.
Fortunately, Maria Menounos finally came into her own and has now proven herself in a wide range of fields. She is a journalist, actress, rainy day wrestler and now a pseudo-professional dancer. It just goes to show how the best girls often go unnoticed until adulthood.
