So you feel I'm crazy?
In Switzerland taxes are high even for corporations, health care is universal, gas is practically $ 8.00 per gallon, the smallest McDo is about $ 7.00, a theater seat about $ 14.00 minimum, often $ 20.00, etc. but real estate is still looking North having, for the units in houses tripled in 10 years while joblessness remains below 3%.

78,000 new residents, which of course are legal (?), is a lot for a country with seven millions all together, real estate staying the same, 15,940 sq miles...
Gas may be expensive, but realistically speaking, cars are luxury, you don't really need for transportation to make a living; people don't need Macs in this country either, and thee price is almost the same for a large meal; movie theaters are a thing of the past anyway...
At least you have medical care affordable for everyone. I would not call it free, because it is never free, but every one is covered; let alone the public instruction...
There are some illegal wishing to become residents. If not accepted for humanity reasons they are sent back and this most often raises questions as they usually disappear after a while in their countries due to the local authorities ... This is huge of a problem. All others are legal, either because they are Europeans, either because they bring in high tech specifications.
But still no joblessness ... not even the taxes are producing any ... and you know waht? Many industries prefer to keep paying their employees when a crisi because the same corporations are not sure they could recover their skills otherwise.
