Motor City Madman Ted Nugent is mad as hell about the thought of Barack Obama getting reelected, but he might want to watch his mouth—the Secret Service is investigating him after some shocking comments he made about the President at an NRA meeting.
The "Cat Scratch Fever" singer is a major gun fan, but he probably s
houldn't have implied that he might try using one on the POTUS while trying to rile up his fellow gun lovers. According to Think Progress, here's Ted's statement that concerned the Secret Service:
If Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will be either be dead or in jail by this time next year.
An agent has confirmed that they have flagged Ted Nugent's comment and will conduct an appropriate followup.
Nugent also accused Barack Obama of "wiping his ass with the Constitution" and told the NRA members at the meeting that winning the election called for conservatives to "ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November."
So basically Ted talked about killing the competition, including the President, in front of a group of gun enthusiasts. Of course, he'll argue that he was just using a metaphor and wasn't trying to convince Mitt Romney supporters to behead Democrats, and surely he wasn't serious about ending up dead or in jail after making an assassination attempt.
Nugent has already endorsed Mitt Romney, so it's going to be difficult for him to ignore the rocker's comments. It also doesn't help that Mitt's campaign recently tried to attach Hilary Rosen's remarks that Ann Romney hasn't worked a day in her life to all Democrats, basically trying to turn around the Dem's claims of a GOP "war on women" by claiming that they're staging a war on moms. So if all Dems are responsible for Hilary's comments, shouldn't Ted's comments be attached to all Republicans?
Nugent might not be tied as closely to Romney as Rosen was to Obama, but Mitt was obviously desperate to get the endorsement of one of the GOP's biggest conservative celebrities. In fact, Mitt wooed the Nuge away from Rick Perry by having a heart-to-heart conversation with him.
So will Mitt Romney try to distance himself from Ted Nugent by condemning him for his comments, or does the rocker have him in a "Stranglehold"—some conservatives already aren't the biggest fans of Romney (as evidenced Rick Santorum's primary success), so they might not be too happy if he rebukes the rocker for doing something they see as Ted simply exercising his right to free speech.

Mittens Romney asking for the endorsement of Uncle Ted, and Uncle Ted giving it to him.
Uncle Ted inciting stupidity isn't a surprise, it's all he has left.
MSNBC Libtalker: We Ought To Rip Out Cheney's Heart
When was Cheney convicted of war crimes? Where are the factual, educated, and logical statements?
Chris Matthews "...he's going to explode...I'll be there to watch."
I said he COMMITTED war crimes. Commit and convict are different words and don't put words in my mouth.
1) You claim he committed war crimes. You said "When a liberal criticizes, they have facts and make educated, logical statements." But you provided NO facts or educated, logical statement to backs YOUR claim.
2) Seems to me your are implying Cheney should be punished for war crimes. We don't typically punish people for crimes until they are CONVICTED; thus my question.
Then again, this is the party who made an entertainer our president... TWICE!
Of course, WE'RE the fools who let them, and let them elect a House full of TEA-Twits, so I don't have a lot of room to talk.
You brought up exhuming St. Reagan. Or is your own bs too much for your tiny brain to handle?
In fact, I'd rather hang out with Hilary an Colombian hookers than any of the regressive twits on this site.
Our country needs more mental stimulation.
Would that be British Columbia or Columbia the Gem of the Ocean?
America, the greatest country in the world, bar none !!!
What separates this country from most others is that we don’t need violence to resolve our differences.
Louis Farrakhan:

Uh, not to him.
Violence is what Obama wants, Martial law, then who needs a stinkin' election...
But I'm glad that you decided to come out on this post, as unrelated to anything else here as it is.
As with all Trolls, you need to crawl back under that rock which you call home and do it quickly, before your comments are attacked by real debaters for the adolescent dribble which it certainly is. It's quite obvious that Gather News is far too adult and literary for you with your childish mentality, to take part in.
"...and that jackass Nugent will get arrested for doing something typically stupid at the voting polls and wind up in jail..." Like the Black Panthers? Oh yeah, except the jail thing.
"Standing While Black is still against the law in some states, isn't it?"
Oh yeah right, they were born with those night sticks attached to their hands. Selective eyesight? Just imagine a white guy at a polling location with a night stick. Now THAT would fly huh?
So scary.
New here?
New here?
Op. Nate Ted: What are you saying, being truthfull is a no no here?
No, you may safely assume I will be truthful. I was addressing the actual question in that comment. The answer is, "Of course I would." And that is a truthful answer. No one here will say otherwise. My point was, if you'd been here any length of time, you wouldn't have had to ask.
1) I would first determine why the poll watchers were allowing people to be intimidated by what looked like thugs to me
2) I would demand that the poll watchers escort those thugs from the polling premisis
3) I would file an official complaint with the head poll watcher
If I got no positive response and/or no assistance from the poll watcher, I would then proceed to the next step;
4) I would contact the local law enforcement agency and request their presence, assistance and intervention
5) I would then contact the local DNC office and let them know of the situation
6) I would then contact the local news agencies and make them aware of the situation at the polling station
7) I would proceed to cast my ballot and thereafter, go home to watch the local 6:00 news report
8) I would later watch the 7:00 Faux News report for a good laugh at how much they twisted and/or spun the story to be what they wanted it to be.
9) I would at some later date, respond with a comment to an article written here on Gather News concerning what had transpired at the polling site
But no matter, they look like clowns to me. I've known REAL Black Panthers, these clowns are not real Black Panthers.
I vote by mail. I think on election day I'm going to rent a gorilla suit and hang around the closest polling place. It's probably a garage a couple of blocks from my house so I'll be able to walk there.
This time, as in times of former glory, when he awakes in the morning it will all be a blur of an egotistical inebriated induced mind. The only good which comes from such grossly sickening monologues, is that Nugent's ego will once again be inflated to it's former self gratification state of mind.
This shell of a man is only dangerous to himself as a psychotic individual. He is in no way a real threat to the POTUS.
It was I and in rereading my prior comment, I should have used the word intoxicated in describing Nugent. Meaning he gets high on the audience's applause, cheering and displayed idolizing of his performance on stage and they get mentally intoxicated with his stage performance.
To any of Nugent's fans here on Gather News whom I may have offended, I sincerely apology for my poor choice of words.
It's not always about taking a nutjob seriously, sometimes as in this and several past cases with Nugent, it's the context of what he says or said. Such impuding, disrespect, disingenuous, degrading and downright filthy remarks should not and can not go unchallenged and he being shown for the unethical and immoral/amoral person which he is.
The truth is irrelevant only if you seek to defend that which is indefensible as you are trying to do.
