The 2012 WNBA Draft results will come out through live coverage of the event on Monday, April 16. Some of the best women's college basketball players will make the jump to the professional level, with 36 of them getting a chance to really shine on the biggest stage that women's basketball has to offer.
You can find full live coverage of the full WNBA Draft here and follow along as each of the 36 selections are made. The picks are spread over three rounds, with the Los Angeles Sparks holding the first overall selection. They are followed by the Seattle Storm, Minnesota Lynx, and Tulsa Shock in the first round.
Early WNBA mock drafts have Nneka Ogwumike as the likely first pick in the draft. The Stanford forwards is a dominant force on the court that could make a huge difference on the Sparks for years to come. Several other players expected to come off the board early are Shenise Johnson, Glory Johnson, and Shekinna Stricklen.
