Happy Monday
Spring Break is Over, Easter is Gone,
It's back to work or school this weekend what went wrong?
Or did it all go right, I was out really late the other night,
Bartenders and waitresses all new me way to well and I was like,
Ate too many Easter Bunnies chocolate and the jelly beans,
got hit on by a bunch of girls in tight skirts and skinny jeans.
But I remembered that driving drunk wasn't cool,
so I tipped the taxi guy a lot more than I normally would.
Got me home safe, still had sand in my shoes from the beach,
stretched out on the couch with the remote control within reach.
Passed out with all the lights on and tv, radio etcetera,
Didn't realize it was Earth Day conserve the lights & use natural.
Woke up on Monday to a hot shower and new fragrance,
But it was the drive time to work that gave my life a new cadence.
Typical day at work, co-workers jargon and chitter chatter,
At the end of the day it was just the coffee and great job that really mattered.
