In The Dwan of Shams of Tabriz (#824), by Rumi,
the last stanza reads:
"The One who knows all secrets
is here now, nearer
than your own jugular vein."

(2) Of course, "blood" is also a Scriptural metaphor for "Life" (Re: "Blood of the Lamb” – which I would suggest really refers to the “Pristine, Immaculate, Pure Mind or Consciousness of God” in which “We All Live, Move and Have Our Being”; the “Mind or Consciousness “We Are All advise by St. Paul to “Let Be in Us”); and, I would further suggest, for Consciousness, as the degree to which "One Is Aware of Being Alive" and so "Consciously Aware of Being" (in the First and Only Place).
God created a circle of Light and Love so vast, no one can stand outside of it.
(3) “Nearer than breath" carries a similar association, but goes even further the as a metaphor that included both "Life and Spirit."
Conceptualizer (Re: habitual "conceptual-lator" might be better) that I Am, however, I am inclined to try to get even closer and say, "Daddy is actually nearer to "me" than "I am to myself' (at least with regard to the “personal sense of separate selfhood” that we, as human beings, traditionally identify with as “themselves”).
For me, this is best expressed by a personal declaration to all: I loved you before Creation.....in remembering the unitary (unifiying) nature of being.
And, the meaning of before is not about a time in the past; it is about a transcendent state of being in the absense of time.
Or, a bit more obtusely (It's what "conceptual triangulators" do):
(4) Then again, “Being One with Daddy” (ABBA or, more formally, The Father), as Jesus claimed for Himself (and implicitly for All Mankind), would "Be Closer than Close, Nearer than Near," as It implies “absolutely zero distance or no separation whatsoever” and, as such, a “Non-Dimensional State of Unitary, Pre-Conceptual, Self-Shinning, Awareness” or “Conscious Presence of Being” that includes, embraces and, yet, transcends "All Space-Time Dimensions" (in which any and all sense of "Personal Being" in swallowed up in Pure Reality Itself – by whatever Name Addressed).
Now we can elevate the meaning of an honored phrase, referring to the peace between brethren, because it pertains to the All:
Behold how good and joyful a thing it is..... to dwell together in unity!
Thou art the house and Thou art the Dweller in the house.

Only in the case the Awareness I Am, You Are and All Is, the metaphoric mental triangle's (Re: human mind or relative state of consciousness) Base is the Field of Awareness and the Apex is a "particular, wobbling, unstable, personal self-referencing focal point" (Re: "me, myself and I") within that Self-Same Field.
Seen in this light, the answer to the innate instability (Re: restlessness) of said "human mind, being and/or condition" would be to re-identify with the Changeless Quantum Field of Awareness One Ultimately Is; and, simultaneously, cease to self-identify with any and all "temporary particle states" of that Self-Same, All-Pervasive, All-Inclusive, All-Originating, Unitary Field of Vibrantly Present, Living Awareness of Being.
