Although Taylor Schilling can act, there are some things of which she was blissfully ignorant until Zac Efron came along. While promoting their new movie The Lucky One, Efron schooled Schilling in what's cool, whether she liked it or not.
Leave it to the former Disney star to give Taylor the scoop on what the younger generation adores. Schilling never heard of High School Musical or the UK boy band One Direction. Apparently, she has been engrossed in more mature endeavors to notice teen icons storm the world.
Fortunately, Zac Efron has filled his lovely co-star in on what she's missed, undoubtedly increasing Taylor Schilling's coolness factor. She deferred to Zac's superior musical knowledge and learned a little about One Direction. "They're a boy band . . . they're pretty new," Zac told her. He also admitted he'd like to take them home, and she confessed that it's a tie whether she wants to take Zac or Tony Bennett to bed. Hmmm . . . could there be an off-screen connection between the pair?
