BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE have received the blessing of a gay marriage group to marry each other after stating that they won’t until gay and lesbian marriages are legalized in America.
Just a day after Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie‘s long overdue engagement hit Hollywood news, gay rights group Equality California gave the couple their thumbs up which meant they shouldn’t be guilty of taking the leap.
It’s a good thing they don’t mind that Brangelina had broken their promise of not tying the knot until everyone had the right to get hitched. But we doubt that anyone would really mind, given that they really want to get married.
EC’s Communications Director Rebekah Orr explained:
“Marriage is something that says 'we’re a family' in a way that nothing else can … No one has to deny that for themselves or their family to prove they are an ally and supporter of equality.”
If only Brangelina had kept in mind that their family comes first and had cared less about showing that they were solid supporters, maybe they would’ve married sooner. But we guess we couldn’t expect anything less from the couple who have been together for 7 years and have 6 children together! Kind of backward, don’t you think?
