Apple fans have waited on the company's new smartphone for a while—technically since October of last year, when the fifth generation device launched. Since the launch of the 4S, techies have continued to gossip about the iPhone 5 release date, but a lot of fans feel the 6th generation Apple smartphone will be a flop.
Will Apple truly be able to deliver a device which is better than their latest model? The 4S just hit stores about six months ago, and it seems unlikely the company will be able to top what they've already accomplished thus far. Unless they plan to actually put 4G technology into their new smartphone, which is as of yet unconfirmed.
With the hype over the device increasing, and no launch date announced by Apple, many fans are becoming discouraged. Of course, this seems to happen every year. A group of obsessed Apple lovers expect the launch of a new smartphone, and if the device doesn't hit stores as expected, they panic! Meanwhile, the rest of Apple's fans understand how the company works and realize everything about an iPhone 5 release date will be kept under wraps until Apple says it's a go.
Most smartphone lovers want something new and different, and thus far it seems Apple is churning out handsets that are quite similar to their earlier designs and lacking new appeal. Of course, there are varying specs, and as technology changes they upgrade the iPhone, but it generally stays the same. Will the next iPhone be leading edge and unique?
If Apple is planning the iPhone 5 release date for this year, June seems unlikely since the 4S just came out this past October. Yes, Apple has been known to surprise, but if they are attempting to set their new model apart from earlier handsets, they'll want to allow ample time to get it right.
