Nephews at Easter-April 8, 2012

We went to my brother's in laws for Easter dinner, and, as is usually my mission, I made a point to get as many pics of my super-adorable-handsome-nephews(and no I'm not a biased auntie;) as I can. :)

Mom and I bought a bunch of little things and made "Easter buckets" for the boys. Here is Chris checking out his.

Chris is starting to look like the festivities are wearing him out (not that he would have admitted it). ;)

Nice pictures! I absolutely love that "hat" cake! It's really neat! Sounds like you had a really nice Easter! Ours was super quiet......went to church and out to eat....that was it.

Great photos! I remember those days as a kid where we had Easter baskets and buckets full of toys and treats, as much as I like certain types of candy my favorite Easter treat was always and still is Grandma S's homemade Easter cookies.

You're welcome. I miss both Grandma's Christmas goodies too but those I have the recipes for, I don't have the recipe for the special Easter cookies or the thin glaze that went on them. May just have to experiment with cookie cutters and sugar cookie dough to try and make thin shaped cookies like the chicks and bunnies. Yellow glaze went on the chicks and a variety of pastels on the bunnies.
