NORMA'S CAFE ~ TGIF

Welcome to Norma's Cafe. For any newcomers...No...I am not Norma, but am taking care of her cafe while she is in acute long term care. We are all praying for her to get better so she can return home.

It is a rainy day where I am and I hope we have rain all day as we are dry. There is quite a large cell just to our west so I'm hopeful. What is is like where you are? Come on in and tell us about your day. I have fresh hot coffee made and the water ready for tea or cocoa. There are plenty of cold drinks in the fridge, sodas,juice,milk, iced tea or lemonade. If I'm not here help youself.

The Decorah Eagles are also going to see rain today. My but those eaglets have grown. MOM eagle just returned to the nest but is blocking my view of the others. Pop was sheltering the 3 eaglets but hopped off and flew away when mom returned. He'd done his stint and was out of there. Mom eagle is the one who is teaching the babies what they need to know. She lets them experience some of the things like rain. If it rains too hard she will protect them.

Thanks for the coffee, Norma. We again had frost overnight but sunshine this morning. Thanks of keeping the cafe open.

hi sadie!....so glad that you are keeping the cafe going!

what have you heard about how norma is doing?...i know we all would appreciate another update!

in the meantime, we are continuing to keep her in our thoughts and prayers.....

it is hard to believe that it is fri. alreaady....this week just flew by for us, we were SOOO busy around here.....yet, it also seems like we did not accomplish very much........i guess that is one of the complexities of modern life, huh?

Have to be.....I am a 1/4 partner of our family farm with my siblings so I (and my sisters) always have to wait on the Schedule K from my brother! This year has been made even worse by the illness of our farm accountant and he had to find someone else to take care of that before any of us could file personally! I am also in a new state and got lucky to find a wonderful gentleman with H&R Block near where I live. Hopefully we will not have to do an extension, but you never know, there's always time for a first!

Hi, Audrey. I feel like I took half a dozen routes to get here, but am so happy to find my way finally. I haven't heard any word in the last couple of weeks abou Norma. Any update?

Glad you are getting needed rain. Our weather is still reasonable, but we did have a cool spell last night, and that's not a bad thing.

I talked to Donald on the 3rd of April and things were about the same. Norma was saying a few words but her hands were still too swollen to be able to use.
