“Who says that’s so?”

“My Lord says ~ he needs me...”

“You never want to volunteer!”

 

Firstborn Lamb. Snow-white. Spotless. Without blemish.

 

“He has a special use for me...”

“Pray tell...what could that be?”

“A sacrifice...”

“Lord, No!”

Not really my form of choice and I'm really not an animal man...(some call me an animal, but that's another story) :) I guess something is better than nothing.

Nice Stephen, You've done something a little different with this poem. The conversation is not distinct in the two halves but rather carries across them. I think it works well for this form in that the importance of the central line as a divider is not diminished. Fine work as always my friend.
