If you have read any of my other posts for the last few days you know I have been scouting out scholarship opportunities and essay competitions to help my two older kids get through college. I promised to share what ever I came up with. I have a lot to share and I will be sharing more over the next few days but I actually came across a contest for adults that may interest some of you. The grand prize is $2000.00. Second prize is $1,500.00 and 3 runner ups will get $500 and 50 others will receive a book. Winning Essays will also be featured in an upcoming book.
The subject you will have to write about for this contest is Civil Rights in the Middle East. Anyone in the United States, Iran, or Afghanistan can participate as long as they are 25 years of age or older.
The deadline is May 27, 2012 so hurry up and get your entries in.
