Kate Gosselin Asked on a Date by Military Man

I am flabbergasted. Kate is so concerned for her safety that she has to travel with a "body guard", and claims that she can't let her sheeple know when she is traveling (due to "safety" issues).

In the distant past, I tried to be a little more understanding of Kate's need for this security because she is a parent to 8, and therefore should be extra careful. Also, there is the fact that she knows that she is not a "beloved" celebrity but rather a despised one.

Then, she started lying about her relationship with Steve, and all sympathy from me went out the window.

Now, here she is telling a virtual stranger that she can't say no and telling him to e-mail her???
Obviously, Kate wants in on the celebrity trend of attending social functions with military personnel. She thinks it will put her on the same level as Justin Timberlake, Mila Kunis and Kristin Cavallari.

The problem is, she is still the parent of 8. She is setting a terrible example for her girls by hooking up with internet strangers - military cr*p aside.
Her claims that she fears for her safety just went out the window. After her offer to have him e-mail her, one of her twitter followers had to remind her that his photo might be fake, for goodness sake.Yet she thinks of none of this.

I certainly hope her sheeple now realize that when Kate whines about her safety, she's faking it. She could care less. She just wants her mug in the news.

Of course she will go out with him. Keeps her name in the tabloids and for Kate that's the name of the game. Terrible example for the kids?, she never worried about that before and she isn't going to start now.

What is wrong with Kate. We teach our children every day about "stranger danger" and here she is accepting a date from a stranger on line. She is really going down hill and fast.

I am SURE she set this whole thing up because she saw all of the free press Mila, Justin and the other people that REALLY matter to the masses, got. It is probably a friend of Stevies. Yet another lame attempt to get in the papers and talk show circuit. Hopefully no one but Effie falls for it.

It kinda creeped me out. I'm pretty sure this guy tweeted her a couple
of weeks ago. Where is the line between internet friend and stalker.
I'm sure she'll have Steve run a background check beforehand and he'll probably tag along on the date as security. ;)

I hope the military man isn't flattering himself that he is good enough for Ms Kate...She only wants a RICH man...remember??And I'm sure a soldier is too too mediocre for her taste is men...But, as was said, ANYTHING to postpone the inevitable drop off the "fame" cliff another 5 minutes....

She needs a bodyguard but she tells a complete strange to email her about a date? Just because he was in the Military does not mean he might be some creep. What a pig.

Don't worry, nothing will come of this. The guy ain't rich so it is just a publicity stunt. I see in those Easter pics of the kids on INF looks like Maddy is already wearing makeup at the age of 11 or 12! Mom sets such a good example.

A lot of kids her age wear some make up these days when going out or some place special - look at the youngest Kardashian kids (if you dare!) lol....my daughter liked messing around with those wet 'n wild make up thingys at that age, but never really wore it out - unless I didn't see it...lol.

The makeup thing doesn't bother me. My daughter is 11 and most of the girls in her 6th grade wear makeup. The thing that bothers me, is that Kate claims she needs a body guard . But, doesn't blink an eye about going out with a stranger :o Wonder if Stevey will be accompanying them? Talk about 3's a crowd lol Now how does she have followers still ? Her stories change faster than the nightly news ...

Sorry, that age is too early to wear makeup and I am shocked any school would allow it at that age. There are so many pedophile out there in our current times that just eat this up.

Give me a break ! I'm talking mascara . The schools don't have time to check for a little makeup because there to busy sending home girls for wearing short shorts & one shouldered tops ! You shouldn't blame the schools . You should blame the parents that don't pay attention to there children....

And it's not like the girls are wearing tons of pancake make up daily. How does an older teen learn to use make up if not by a bit of experimenting when younger? My daughter discovered it was time consuming and didn't feel right so she eventually stopped bothering - except for nail polish.

Jeanne, Thank you For getting it . Funny what you said about your daughter. Although my daughter used mascara maybe 2X's a week. She's already tired of it. Which dosnt bother me in the least. Because I just started wearing minimal makeup at age 48 to cover up my aging face lol
Now i better get back on subject :)

My daughter is now nearly 27 and barely wears any make up. She still hates the way it feels. When I used to work - out of the home, that is - I'd just put on a small splash each morning so I wouldn't look like I just got out of bed....

Thing is it seems that Kate's poor example of dressing like a Ho and all manufactured look is rubbing off on twins as I suspected it would. Watch, next they will be dressing provocatively when they reach 13yrs

It might be difficult with the cheap, childish clothing Kate buys them. But you know girls - they can make a mini out of anything - it doesn't take much to alter a look. She doesn't want those kids to grow up and mature because that sucks all the cuteness out and thus, all the interest.

Poor Cara seems like she hides in the background of things these days. I think she struggles more than the rest with the Divorce and family issues.
