The Walking Dead will be returning for its third season in the fall, and when it does, one of the recurring characters from season 2 will have a more permanent role.
Walking Dead Season 3 Spoilers
According to TVLine, Lauren Cohan is going to be "a full-fledged series regular," but they were also quick to point out that "it by no means guarantees she'll make it out of the season alive." Remember, a character's fate in the comics means nothing either. Shane outlived his counterpart, while Dale died much earlier tan his, and they were series regulars for season 2. However, it does seem likely that she'll survive at least most of the upcoming 16 episodes since she's now a series regular—or at least you can hope.
The relationship between Lauren Cohan's Maggie and Steven Yeun's Glenn was a highlight of The Walking Dead season 2, and even Hershel could see that he was good for his daughter. While everything had pretty much went to hell in the season finale, they were in a good place when it ended. Will that continue in the third season, which is going to see more of Michonne beyond that tease in the season 2 finale, the Governor, Woodbury, and the prison, or will something else come up that could ruin their relationship? Hopefully it's the former, because they do deserve some happiness and they found that with each other.
