MORE POWER TO THE POTATO
© 2012 by David Wainland
100 words

1,800 steps are a long climb. Add a 50lb box and it’s no small feat.
“Why?” you ask.
“Because, my parents married in 1937 and they visited the Empire State Building observatory.”
“And so?” you say.
“Because I want to be there when they do, so in the box are climbing shoes, a potato, 250 ft. of copper wire, electric tape and the Flux
Capacitor from a DeLorean. I’ll climb the lightning tower, connect the wire through the potato and into the capacitor, then wait for a strike to build1.21 gigawatts of electricity….
I’m going, Back to the Past.”
