It looks like Priyanka Chopra might have finally gotten a clue when it comes to the affair rumors swirling around her and Shahrukh Khan. In the past she flaunted their relationship in public, chatting cozily with him at parties and not seeming to care when she was caught visiting his office late at night. Once SRK started distancing himself a bit from her (such as when he left her to walk down the red carpet by herself at the premiere of Don 2 at the Berlin Film Festival) Priyanka still attempted to "accidentally" cross paths with him.
But now it seems that she's wised up and figured out the best way to get the media off the story: by distancing herself completely from her old friend. Case in point: when asked if she'll be cheering for Shahrukh's Kolkata Knight Riders, the IPL team he owns, PC was downright coy. She replied that so many of her friends and co-workers are involved in teams, so she'll be rooting for all of them equally, rather than for KKR. How diplomatic of her!
It's unclear if Priyanka came to this realization herself or if she was pushed there by the cold and cruel actions of Gauri Khan and Karan Johar (among others). Shahrukh Khan's friends (and wife!) have been working hard to ice Priyanka out of the Mumbai social scene for months now. Looks like it's working! And in the end it's to Priyanka's advantage anyways--she's moving full steam ahead with promotions for her new film Tere Mere Kahani (with alleged ex-flame Shahid Kapoor) and the last thing she wants is for the film to be overshadowed by stories about her love life!
